Web and app development for Toronto and the GTA

Toronto is Canada's business capital and one of the most diverse cities in the world, including a large and growing Nigerian and wider African community. We build websites, apps and software for Toronto businesses, from startups and professional firms to diaspora-led companies trading with Africa.

AODA accessibility, built in

Under Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, private and non-profit organisations with 50 or more employees must make their public websites meet WCAG 2.0 AA. Smaller firms are not bound by that rule, but their customers still expect a usable site.

We build to WCAG 2.2 AA, which goes beyond the AODA requirement, and test with screen readers and keyboard navigation. If you already have a site, we can audit it and fix what fails.

Canadian privacy and anti-spam rules

Private-sector businesses in Canada are covered by PIPEDA federally, and Quebec's Law 25, phased in between 2022 and 2024, adds stricter consent and transparency duties for anyone handling data about Quebec residents. Commercial emails fall under CASL, Canada's anti-spam law, which requires consent before you send.

We design forms, consent records and email sign-ups to meet these rules, and keep data in Canadian cloud regions where that matters to your clients.

Trading between Canada and Africa

Plenty of Toronto businesses sell to customers in Canada and in Nigeria, Ghana or Kenya at the same time, or send money between them. We build platforms that take Canadian dollars through Stripe or Moneris and naira or cedis through Paystack or Flutterwave, with clear records for both.

Toronto is five or six hours behind Lagos, depending on the season, so your mornings overlap with our afternoons every working day.

Payments we integrate

Stripe, Moneris, Interac e-Transfer, Square, PayPal, Paystack (for African payments).

Rules we build for

  • PIPEDA
  • AODA (WCAG 2.0 AA for organisations with 50+ employees)
  • Quebec Law 25 (if you serve Quebec residents)
  • CASL (Canada's anti-spam legislation)

FAQ

Working with us from Toronto

Does my website need to meet AODA?

If your organisation has 50 or more employees in Ontario, yes. Even if it does not, building to the same standard is good practice and helps with search rankings.

Can you invoice in Canadian dollars?

Yes. We quote and invoice Canadian clients in CAD.

Can you build a platform that serves customers in Canada and Nigeria?

Yes. We build multi-currency platforms with Canadian and African payment providers side by side, and handle the privacy rules of both countries.
