Mobile apps for iOS and Android, built the right way for your product

From pure native to cross-platform, we help you choose how your app should be built and then build it properly. We design, develop, test and publish apps for iPhone and Android, along with the back-end systems that power them. We work with companies in Nigeria, the wider African market, the UK, Europe and North America.

What we do

  1. 01

    Native iOS apps

Built in Swift and SwiftUI for the best possible performance and full access to Apple features such as Face ID, Apple Pay and widgets.

  2. 02

    Native Android apps

Built in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, tuned for the huge range of Android devices your customers actually own.

  3. 03

    Cross-platform apps

One codebase for both platforms with Flutter or React Native, which usually means a faster launch and lower running costs.

  4. 04

    App back ends and APIs

The servers, databases, admin panels and notification systems behind the app, built to handle growth.

  5. 05

    Store launch

App Store and Google Play listings, screenshots, privacy declarations and submission, including handling reviewer questions.

  6. 06

    Maintenance and updates

Yearly iOS and Android updates, new devices, bug fixes and new features, so the app keeps working long after launch.

Native or cross-platform?

This is the first question most clients ask, and the honest answer is that it depends on the app. Native development, Swift for iPhone and Kotlin for Android, gives the best performance and the earliest access to new operating system features. It suits apps that lean heavily on the camera, Bluetooth, background processing, complex animation or platform features such as Apple Watch. It also means two codebases and, usually, two sets of developers.

Cross-platform frameworks have matured a great deal. Flutter and React Native now power many well-known apps, and for most business apps (booking, ordering, banking front ends, field service tools, loyalty schemes) they deliver a native feel from one shared codebase. That typically shortens the build and lowers maintenance costs. We recommend one approach at the start of every project and explain why, in writing, before you commit.

Built for real devices and real networks

Who your users are changes how the app should be built. Android runs on the large majority of phones in Nigeria and across most of Africa, many of them budget models with limited storage and memory. In the UK and the US, iPhone holds around half of the market or more. An app for a Lagos logistics company and an app for a London fitness brand need different priorities.

For African markets we keep download sizes small, test on low-cost devices, and design for unreliable connections: data cached on the phone, actions queued when offline and synced when the signal returns, and images that load progressively. Wherever your users are, we test on a spread of real devices rather than a single flagship phone, and we measure startup time, battery use and crash rates before every release.

Launch is the start, not the finish

Apple and Google both review every app before it goes live, and both reject apps for reasons that catch first-time publishers out: missing privacy details, unclear account deletion, payment rules, or screenshots that do not match the app. We prepare all of this and manage the submission, so launch day is not delayed by a rejection.

After launch, apps need regular care. Apple and Google release major operating system updates every year, and store policies change. We offer maintenance plans that cover compatibility updates, security patches, crash monitoring and a steady stream of improvements based on how people use the app. The source code, signing keys and developer accounts stay in your name, so you are never locked in. If you later move development in-house, the handover is straightforward.

What you get

  • Platform recommendation with reasons and cost implications
  • UX and UI design for every app screen
  • Test builds through TestFlight and Google Play internal testing
  • Back end, API and admin panel
  • Push notifications, analytics and crash reporting
  • App Store and Google Play listings and submission
  • Source code, signing keys and store accounts in your name
  • Release notes and a maintenance plan

Usual tools

Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Flutter, Dart, React Native, Expo, Firebase, Supabase, Node.js, Sentry. We choose tools for your requirements and your long-term running costs, not out of habit.

FAQ

Mobile App Development: your questions answered

Should we choose Flutter or React Native?

Both are strong. Flutter often suits apps with highly custom visual design; React Native suits teams that already work in JavaScript or React for the web. We recommend one based on your app's features and your team, not personal preference.

How long does it take to build an app?

A focused first version usually takes three to five months including design, back end, testing and store approval. Apps with complex integrations or offline needs take longer, and we scope them in phases.

Will you publish the app to the App Store and Google Play?

Yes. We prepare the listings, privacy declarations and screenshots, and manage submission and reviewer questions. The apps are published under your own developer accounts.

Who owns the app?

You do. Source code, signing keys, back-end infrastructure and store accounts are all registered to your organisation.

Can you update an app that another agency built?

Yes. We review the code first, tell you honestly what state it is in, and then either continue developing it or recommend a rebuild if that would be cheaper over time.
