How we work

A clear path from idea to launch, and beyond.

Six phases, three ways to engage us and four safeguards that protect your business. You always know what is happening, what it costs and who owns it.

Work phases

Six phases, every project

  1. 01

    Research & discovery

We start by listening. Stakeholder interviews, workshops and a look at your users, rivals and numbers tell us what the product has to do and what it must never do. You leave this stage with a written scope, a rough prototype and a plan you can hold us to.

You receive: Scope and success measures, User journeys, Risk list, Delivery plan.

  2. 02

    Product design (UX & UI)

Wireframes first, then clickable mockups you can tap through on your own phone. We test them with real users where we can, because changing a design costs far less than changing code.

You receive: Wireframes, Clickable prototype, Design system, Content plan.

  3. 03

    Build

Engineering runs in short sprints, usually two weeks, each ending in a working demo. We pick the stack for your requirements and your budget for upkeep, not for our own comfort.

You receive: Fortnightly demos, Shared board, Staging site, Source code in your repository.

  4. 04

    Optimisation

Once it works, we make it lean. Code reviews, refactoring and performance profiling remove the bottlenecks before your users find them, and keep hosting costs down.

You receive: Code review notes, Performance report, Accessibility fixes.

  5. 05

    Quality assurance

Our testers work through every user story by hand and with automated tests, on the devices and connection speeds your customers actually use. Nothing ships on a hunch.

You receive: Test plan, Automated test suite, Device and browser matrix, Sign-off checklist.

  6. 06

    Launch & monitoring

We deploy, watch the numbers and fix what the real world turns up. Most clients keep us on afterwards for support, new features and growth work, but the choice is always yours.

You receive: Launch runbook, Monitoring and alerts, Handover documents, Support options.

Engagement models

Three ways to work with us

01

Fixed price project

Best for Clear scope, set budget, firm deadline

We agree the scope, price and timeline in writing before work starts. You know the cost up front, and changes go through a simple, priced change request.

  • One agreed price
  • Milestone payments
  • Scope locked after discovery
  • Ideal for websites, MVPs and defined builds

02

Dedicated team

Best for Evolving product, ongoing roadmap

A team of designers, engineers and testers assembled for your product and working only on it. You set the priorities each sprint; we handle hiring, tools and line management.

  • Monthly rolling engagement
  • Scale up or down with notice
  • You steer the backlog
  • Ideal for SaaS and growing platforms

03

Offshore development centre

Best for Long-term capacity alongside your own IT team

A dedicated unit that works as an extension of your in-house team, with your processes, your tools and your standards. A cost-effective way to add capacity without opening an office.

  • Your workflow and tooling
  • Long-term knowledge retention
  • Working hours that overlap with UK and EU
  • Ideal for enterprises and scale-ups

Safeguards

Your intellectual property, protected

Trust is earned in the contract as much as in the code. These four commitments are written into every agreement we sign.

  1. NDA before we talk details

We sign a non-disclosure agreement before discovery begins, and review our security policies regularly so your plans and data stay private.

  2. Plain-English agreements

Contracts you can read in one sitting. No hidden clauses, no surprise fees, and every change to scope or cost agreed in writing first.

  3. Ethics we will not bend

We protect your reputation as carefully as our own. No dark patterns, no bought reviews, no shortcuts that could embarrass you later.

  4. You own everything we make

Designs, source code, data, domains and accounts are yours from the first invoice. We set them up in your name, not ours.

Staying in touch

You get a named project manager, a shared board where you can see every task, and a working demo at the end of each sprint. We use the tools your team already knows, whether that is Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira, Trello, Figma or GitHub.

We work on West Africa Time (UTC+1). That matches UK summer time, is one hour ahead of UK winter time and overlaps with most of the European working day. North American clients get our afternoons in their morning, which suits a daily check-in.

FAQ

Working together: common questions

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. We sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before discovery, and you can send us your own if you prefer.

Can we change the scope on a fixed price project?

Yes. Each change is written up with its cost and effect on the timeline, and nothing is built until you approve it.

How do we stay updated during the build?

You get a shared project board, a working demo at the end of each sprint and a named project manager who answers your messages.

Which time zone do you work in?

West Africa Time (UTC+1). That matches UK summer time, sits one hour ahead of UK winter time and overlaps with most of Europe and the North American morning.
