The brief

Raising money in Africa can mean months of searching, writing and chasing. Seeker brings the whole journey into one place, from finding the right grant to running the project it pays for.

Entrepreneurs, start-ups and non-governmental organisations across Africa often struggle less with ideas than with funding. Grants and finance are scattered across many sources, each with its own rules, deadlines and paperwork.

Afrigrants Resources Limited wanted a tool that would take the administrative weight off fundraising, so that organisations could spend their time on the work the money is meant to pay for.

What we did

We developed Seeker around the three stages an organisation goes through: finding money, applying for it and putting it to work.

Searches are matched to the organisation, so a founder or NGO sees funding sources that fit its sector, stage and location rather than an endless list. Guided tools then help users write a business plan and work through each application.

Once funding arrives, Seeker keeps helping: it guides the project through delivery so the capital is managed well and the organisation can grow, and report on that growth, with confidence.
