Cloud & Security

Cloud that stays up and costs what it should

We move systems to the cloud without breaking what already works, and we cut the waste on what you are paying for today. Then we keep it running: automated deployments, monitoring that wakes the right person, and recovery plans that have actually been tested.

What we do

  1. 01

    Cloud migration

Moving servers and applications from on-premises or another provider in planned stages, with each stage tested before the next begins.

  2. 02

    Cost reduction

A line-by-line review of your cloud bill, right-sizing idle servers, switching to committed pricing where it pays and removing what nobody uses.

  3. 03

    CI/CD pipelines

Code tested and deployed automatically, so releases become routine instead of a late-night event.

  4. 04

    Containers and orchestration

Docker and Kubernetes where they make sense, simpler managed services where they do not.

  5. 05

    High availability and disaster recovery

Systems that handle heavy traffic and keep working when a component fails, with backups, standby environments and recovery drills.

  6. 06

    Data centre transformation

Consolidating or retiring on-premises server rooms, moving workloads to cloud or co-location, and running hybrid set-ups during the transition.

Migrate in steps, not in one leap

A big-bang move to the cloud is the fastest way to discover dependencies nobody wrote down. We start by listing every system, what it talks to and what would happen if it went offline for an hour. Low-risk workloads move first, so your team learns the new environment before anything critical changes.

Each stage has a test plan and a rollback route. Where systems must stay available, old and new run side by side until the numbers match. For businesses in Nigeria and across Africa, we pay attention to region choice and content delivery, because a server in Frankfurt and one in Johannesburg or Lagos feel very different to a customer on a mobile connection. For UK and EU clients, we keep personal data in the regions your obligations require.

Stop paying for what you do not use

Cloud bills grow quietly. Test environments left running over the weekend, oversized databases, storage nobody has looked at in two years. A cost review usually finds savings within the first week. We right-size what is running, schedule non-production systems to switch off out of hours, and use reserved or committed pricing for steady workloads.

Every change is recorded with its monthly saving, and we set budget alerts so the bill cannot creep back up unnoticed. Costs are shown in your local currency as well as dollars where that helps finance teams plan.

Savings should not come at the expense of reliability. Before switching anything off or shrinking it, we check its usage over several weeks and confirm with the team that owns it. Nothing critical changes without a rollback plan.

Recovery plans that have been tested

Systems that do not go down are designed that way: load balancing across zones, automatic restarts, backups in a separate account and a standby site for the services you cannot lose. We agree two numbers with you, how long you can be offline and how much data you can afford to lose, and design to them. Then we run a drill, time the recovery and fix whatever slowed it down.

Drills are repeated at least once a year and after any major change, because a recovery plan goes stale as systems evolve. Monitoring sits on top: uptime checks from several regions, alerts routed to whoever is on call, and dashboards that show at a glance whether everything is healthy. When an incident does happen, we write a short, blame-free review of what went wrong and what will stop it happening again.

What you get

  • Architecture diagram and written infrastructure decisions
  • Infrastructure as code in your own repository
  • Automated build, test and deploy pipelines
  • Monitoring dashboards and alert routing
  • Cost report with savings achieved and budget alerts
  • Disaster recovery plan with recovery time and data-loss targets
  • Results of a recovery drill
  • Runbooks for common incidents

AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, DigitalOcean, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloudflare, Grafana, Prometheus. We choose tools for your requirements and your long-term running costs, not out of habit.

FAQ

Cloud & DevOps: your questions answered

AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or DigitalOcean?

All four are sound. Azure fits firms deep in Microsoft 365, AWS has the widest range of services, Google Cloud is strong for data and analytics, and DigitalOcean is simple and affordable for smaller workloads. We recommend based on your skills, existing contracts and where your customers are.

How much can we save on our cloud bill?

It depends on how the account has been run. We give you a figure after reviewing the bill and usage, not before. Every saving we make is listed with its monthly value.

Will the migration cause downtime?

We plan to keep it to a minimum and agree any window with you in advance. Critical systems can usually move with a cut-over of minutes, using replication and a tested rollback.

Do you provide ongoing support?

Yes. After launch we can monitor, patch and improve your environment on a monthly arrangement, or hand over fully documented infrastructure to your own team.

Do we keep control of our cloud accounts?

Always. Accounts, billing and code are in your name. We work through access you grant and can revoke at any time.
